About The Spa

The Ocean Spa is independently owned and has a unique boutique spa spirit. Run by a team of passionate people from diverse Spa, Beauty, Retail, Gym and Personal Training backgrounds, who all believe in delivering outstanding experiences and keeping the needs of our clients and members at the core of everything they do.

Established by Verna Herry, who has extensive experience managing spas in the UK and abroad, has a vision to provide a boutique day spa and Health & Fitness club in Portland, Dorset, South West England. With innovative bespoke spa treatments and an outstanding Health & Fitness club, encouraging and supporting clients and members to achieve and maintain their goals are at the heart of The Ocean Spa.

The Philosophy of The Ocean Spa

The Ocean Spa team have a simple philosophy - the better you feel within yourself, the better you will see the world. The inner beauty and wellbeing of our clients and members are weaved into every part of our business. We provide a unique environment for you to escape, recharge and re-enter the world revived.

As the local area, community and our regular clients needs change, we continue to evolve our Spa therapy and Health & Fitness Club offering with them. Always receptive to new concepts and ideas, if you have any feedback you would like to share Verna & the team would love to hear from you.

The heritage of our beautiful location

Within the UNESCO World Heritage Site on the Jurassic Coastline at the southern end of Portland in Dorset, located high on the cliffside with breathtaking views across the English Channel, The Ocean Spa’s building has an impressive history.  Based in the heart of Southwell Park, the building is made of beautiful Portland stone famed for its unique white marble-like appearance. Formed in a marine environment, on the floor of a shallow, warm, sub-tropical sea, Portland stone is the perfect natural material for The Ocean Spa to be surrounded by.
